grace note ~> sometimes romance is when you break into a woman's house while running from the police & find her holding a seance & while everyone else in the room has their eyes closed, in a series of elaborate gestures, agree to pose as a ghost to help her swindle these folks in her seance. and romance is also when that seance ends and you're hiding underneath the side table's tablecloth and you poke your head out thinking maybe you'll get a kiss for your troubles and instead she kicks you out and shouts at you for tracking mud all over her nice floors, even though you just heard her telling the guests it was proof positive that a ghost had been there while they'd all had their eyes closed.

penny thinks grace is much too pretentious for her own good & enjoys riling her up a little too much. grace is shockingly good company for the five minutes per week that she manages to relax a little bit, but penny's rarely lucky enough to be in her presence for those five minutes, so she puts up with annoying grace constantly instead (and sometimes falling into bed with her, in a way that they literally will never talk about).
